seriously...its not a big deal. i thought these forums would be helpful in getting answers to some common questions from other medical students but it seems like (yet again), wikipedia is the better source.

I mean if you look at the conversation here did we ever come to a conclusion on the original question/answer? not really.
Yeah I'm an incredibly neurotic person that likes to know the answer with 100% certainty, but it would be nice to see one other coherent response that outlines a possible logical train of thought that leads from question to answer.

I totally agree with you .may be this forum good to get questions not answers only 2 kind of posts r there 1)ppl panicking -need urgent advice scared as **** exam in one week. low NBME need urgent advice.
2)the big guns posting their experience and awesome score.

I am not against ppl posting their experience they must have worked pretty hard, but forum should not only be concentrated on that.

That's why we created the recommended threads and the high yield forums (find links from the home page), these forums include filtered out useful posts and threads and they are heavily edited and moderated to meet the best possible professional standards.

Remember, that many people come here to feel comfortable discussing their feelings and experiences with each other, it's a community, and it can not be a very cerebral chat and text like those you find in the New England Journal of Medicine for example.

I disagree with the author of this thread. This forum is awesome, helps you answer many question.

At the end of the day, is up to ourselves to read, and try to fixate the important information. Nobody in this forum will make it for you. It's good to know also, that one is not alone in this, that many as myself, are studying instead of being away for the holidays.

If you don't like the forum, don't come in. Pay a Kaplan course, maybe they can help you.

This forum is very helpfully, before I took my test last week it helped to fill my dude; the important thing you have to do: it's post your question and ask help.
I'm waiting for my note

That one little comment generated so much feedback....which pretty much disproves your point philios. This forum is like group therapy and is a gift to those who know how to use it wisely.

Keep it up guys and thank you

I totally agree with you! I wish we had more posts from average people with average scores...And boy those pessimistic, freaking out people who post threads (like the ones I've seen recently on step 2CK forum) just to scare everyone else should have their posts banned from here. Seriously!
