You don't allow NBME Questions yet you allow people asking for DIT and other copyright materials?

So I can't discuss an NBME question but people can flat out ask about getting illegal material like DIT or ask for the NBMEs?

Answer:

Dear Dr_Laura,

Thank you for your feedback and bringing up this subject.

Here's our answer:

We constantly receive copyright claims from copyright owners about posts infringing on their copyrights. We then immediately verify the legitimacy of the claim and take appropriate action (usually deletion of the post/attachment).

For members asking to share DIT or Kaplan or offline NBME ...etc we did not receive copyright claims against their posts. Perhaps, some companies are tolerant in this regard, maybe they are happy to see thousands of students trying to share their content!

Nevertheless, once we receive a claim we immediately take action.

For members who outrightly share materials that we are 100% sure that's infringing on copyright, we remove it ourselves without waiting for copyright claims. For example, if a member share a PDF file of the "First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 Book", it's obviously infringing so then we remove it and we give a notice to the member who posted.

The full details are available in our Copyright Policy Page.
