Default 2 week observership. Is it enough? Can I get a sLOR (emergency med) out of it?

Hey, I have the option of a 2 week emergency med observership in the US, can I get a sLOR with such a short rotation, should I try to do 3 weeks instead? I fear I'll be fairly bored just watching after 2 weeks! Any advice

Default Make it 3 weeks

It depends on the attending that you are going to observe with.

2 weeks might not be enough for a good LoR and for the attending to know you well. I suggest you push it to 3 weeks.

I agree with you, observership might turn boring but you try to engage yourself in activities such as discussions and case presentations to enjoy it.
