Search are research electives aviable for GRADUATES ?

hellow everyone,
I want to know if graduates can do research electives of universities, coz when we say elective it is destinated for students, but since research is not hands-on(no malpractice insurance and all that stuff) why will it be exclusif to students ?
thank you in advance

Don't think so. I know only of two places that offer research electives for international medical students, Hopkins and Upenn.

I have applied for research electives at both the places but as I haven't done them I don't know how a research elective is different from research for graduates or which would carry more weight.
