Developmental Neuroscience Intensive Research and Writing Workshop

Hello doctors,

The Developmental Neuroscience Lab at Columbia University,New York is offering a unique intensive research and writing workshop.

The workshop offers a hands-on opportunity to learn professional and popular science writing. Participants learn how to conduct comprehensive and critical scientific literature research and write about various neuroscience topics with a focus on, but not limited to, child and adolescent health. There are also opportunities to engage in some of the ongoing research projects in the lab that span from translational clinical trials to basic science molecular and behavioral experiments.

The workshop offers hands on scientific writing experience aimed at publishing in both professional peer reviewed journals as well as in popular science format. The workshops provide participants an opportunity to bolster their CV while delving into topics they are interested in. It is an excellent opportunity to garner experience and knowledge that will serve as a good topic of conversation on a job, college as well as graduate/post graduate interviews. Furthermore select manuscripts will be submitted for publication, giving applicants an opportunity to expand their bibliography and writing platform.

There is no formal tuition for this workshop, however, research is costly and the amount of time and expertise devoted to teaching and supervision in such an intensive workshop requires considerable resources. We encourage people who are interested in the workshop to donate to research in the lab to support this initiative. Please inquire below regarding the suggested donation.

This is an excellent opportunity for exceptional international medical graduates who wish to enhance their competitive standing.

If interested, please send your CV and 3 letters of reference to
