Smile chances of getting an elective

I'm a medical student currently doing my internship in India. I have 4 months of internship left. I just started my prep for toefl and intend to take the exam at the end of November or in the first week of December. I haven't taken any of the usmle exams yet. Is it possible for me to secure an elective? If so which are the universities that I can apply to, keeping the time frame in mind? I plan to extend my graduation date if the Dean of my college allows it .

at this time you can fill the online form of kansas and then send the toefl score to the kansas when you get your result. most of the universities need toefl result and you should apply at least 6 months before your elective start date. so it all depends on how much you can extend your internship.

univ do not consider any application that are incomplete and even if they will accept ur application they won't review until all the documents have been submitted.
i think u can also apply at cornell since it do not need toefl score and there will be a telephonic interview after u have been accepted there.
i applied 8 months before still my application was rejected so i guess plan accordingly at the cornell..
