Hi guys:
Is it true that paid Observership/externship from companies are not valuable because they charge students for giving them LORs?
What about university hospitals that get fees for observership? Are their LORs value as same as LORs from companies? because they charge us too.
I think this really depends on which company you go with. I ended up going with a paid service and they were very up front with me -- the LOR was completely based on how well or not well I performed during my rotation. The educational curriculum was quite intense and it was a rewarding experience.
At the end of the rotation, I received strong LORs which did not mention the paid service I went with at all. In my case, no interviewer would have know I organized my USCE through a paid service unless I voluntarily disclosed that information - which I did not!
PM me and I can connect you with the coordinator who helped set up my rotations

Hi Madhis, I actually did not send that to you but I had passed along your information at your request.
I personally have experience with their externship programs: IM, FM in NYC and Psych in Atlanta. Currently participating in research organized by my physician I was introduced to by medclerkships as well.
Hi Dr Bear. Sorry because of the mistake. you're right. Some one who Dr Bear introduced me sent this email to me.
