Default Some advise for an Unplanned Clerkship / Observership

Hello guys,

Im an IMG, passed my MBBS in late 2012. Its been 2.5 years since then, I've been working as a resident back home

I was currentl in US to attend apple's WWDC. I thot I'd also do some clerkship or something here.

I've called many companies, some don't accept because I haven't given any steps.

Some Have slots available at a later stage (where I can't really afford to stay back in US till then).

My goal was (since i'm here) do something of value and go back.

That could be a clerkship or observership or even maybe join a group study classes thing. (i'm on b1/b2 visa).
I did call kaplan for lectures but I'd have to convert my visa to Student. (which takes 4 months apparently).

I'd be glad to get some feedback from you, my trip was unplanned. I came only for that conference.

If anyone is in NJ, I'd be happy to meet up.

One thing I can recommend is joining a volunteer group.. ask around in hospitals, or ask in local community centers if you can help out in anything.
Like you said, you don't have time, nor do you have the steps, but it doesnt take anything to be a volunteer and it would look good on your CV that even during your time off you took time to volunteer!

Hey, thanks for replying.

Yes, I did try for volunteering, I just didn't find any takers. I signed up on websites too.

Is there any special way to approach this?
