Default Stay away from future-doc!

I would like to warn all of you, my fellow IMG's, against the
Future-Doc Enterprise located at

I approached them to find a rotation in June/July 2015 because I really needed a USCE in a specific field in this timeframe. It took them extremely long to set up this rotation and I had to call them several times to get the process going.

In the end, I was promised a rotation from 10am-4pm the days I was there, but as I found out at the hospital, it turned out to be 11am-1pm. Further, there was not one but 2 preceptors, which is painfull because you get two short LOR instead of one good one. On top of this, the one preceptor did not care about teaching. I still remember his first comment to me "this is not a teaching hospital". He was most happy when I didn't say anything.
I would not have signed up for the rotation knowing this, so I asked future-doc about the promise they made.

Without any discussion or talk, they just cancelled the agreement in the middle of the 1st week of my 4 week rotation. I tried to call them to make things work, telling them that I was willing to continue the rotation under the new terms, but the director(Claudia Johnson) just hung up on me. She wrote me an email telling me I would normally be charged 25% for this cancellation but she decided to be "nice" and give me a full refund. It took me 3 weeks(!) with almost daily phone calls to get her to give me the money back. She came up with the most terrible excuses postponing the refunding constantly. I was actually getting ready for a lawsuit when she decided to dump a cashiers check at the bank for me to cash in, which meant I had to travel 25 miles to go to her bank without a car and walk out with an awful lot of cash on me in a bad neighbourhood because she refused to transfer the money back as I did.

I also had to set up a new agency for the rotation and that cost me a whole week of the 4 weeks and a lot of stress and calling back and forth.

Do yourself a favour and never, ever do any business with this agency!
All in all I had the most awful experience with them.
