Help Observership in DC and Virginia

hi everyone
can anyone tell me how to start looking for observership/externship in dc/ north virginia region? I can hardly find any colleges that offer observership in these areas? WHAT ABT PAID EXTERNSHIP ?
i m ecfmg verified recently n looking for observership..is it good to do observership in private clinics (optional) in case nothing works ?
also does anyone know abt research in NIH in maryland?:sorry::sorry::sorry:

If nothing else works, then clinic observership is better than nothing, isn't it?

I live in VA as well. My advice to you would be to go around hospitals and asking around to the ones nearby. Or send out emails to the doctors in the area, the one you'd be interested in working under.
