Question Externship with Salary!

1. Has anybody ever done an externship where they got paid? Just curious if that's possible.
2. Do we need malpractice insurance for externship? And if so, do we have to get that ourselves or do we get covered by the hospital?

I'm really curious if there are any clerkships that pay you... would be really interested in this obviously. Has anyone ever come across a program like this?

Externships are not paid.

If you receive payment its no longer an externship. It would be hands-on work experience and documented differently in ERAS application.

Paid research positions in the US are highly sought after by medical graduates.

Many medical students and graduates also obtain salaried positions in the US Healthcare system to gain residency relevant work experience.

ACAs Advanced Medical Assisting-Medical Residency Track program can help. http://advancedcolleges.us/formr
