Certificate How does the LoR work?

Hi guys!!

I am a little confused about letters of recommendation.
If a doctor in the US agrees to write me one, how will it work? Will he give the letter to me? will he upload it to ERAS?
what if I am not on ERAS? Can I just get a username and log in? (doubt that works...)

Please help, this is urgent!

The letter writer cannot upload it to ERAS unless you are registered with ERAS.
