Question Certified psychiatry clerkship to make up for California letter?

Does any IMG know or have the actual experience to have certified psychiatry clerkship in the US to make up the deficit of not having enough hours of psychiatry rotation in med school curriculum in home country, and then successfully obtain the California letter?
If yes, are these certified hospitals provided by the Medical board of California?

The problem is that if you are a graduate already then you cannot get into clerkships or electives in USA.

The only way you can get around that is by doing the clerkships in the country of your medical school and get it documented and send it to Medical Boards of California. Note that it should be part of your core curriculum, i.e. your final medical school transcript should mention the rotation in order the MBC approve it.

I know a couple of my friends who had the same issue. One of them had to go back to his med school, do a couple of weeks of psychiatry, then they had to change his medical school transcript. The other one just forgot about California!
