Resident Medical electives

Hello everyone,

Quick question, are all the electives 4 weeks long or are there some that are shorter/longer in duration.

Thank You!

Default electives

Like for example, I think Emergency Medicine is 2 weeks long, and I think things like Cardiology, Endocrinology or Radiology are four weeks long. So because you have to do 30 weeks of elective rotations, so if you divide 30 by 4 you get 7.5, which is the total number of rotations you can do. So you can do 7 complete elective rotations, so then what do you do with that .5 weeks. So that's why i was asking if most of the elective rotations are 4 weeks long. Or are there elective rotations that are longer than 4weeks or some electives that could be shorter than 4 weeks. I hope this makes more sense.

Thank you!
