Default HMS Exchange Clerkship

Hi I'm an IMG who applied to Harvard Exchange Clerkship for this Summer i.e. July rotation. I received an email from them that my application has been received and is in the process of being reviewed. I still have not heard back from them yet however. When does HMG Exchange Program notify you of the acceptance to the program. If they still haven't contacted me regarding acceptance now, am I safe in assuming my application has not been successful?

Hi choijgp33, I am also an IMG who has applied for July rotation at Harvard. I sent an email enquiring on the outcome of my application and they replied saying that the july offer/rejection letters will be sent out via email by June 4th.

Hi Sheffield, Thanks for your reply. I guess we should have our fingers crossed for another day. Glad to hear that I haven't missed the result of the application!

You are welcome. I've received an email from them. I got rejected. Hopefully it went well for you!

Hi guys,

Regarding Harvard, I read it on their application page that it is going to be very tough to get electives during the end of this year and start of next year since they intend to change curriculum. I don't know what the hell that means but I guess it is going to be tough for IMGs to secure elective spots over there.

Yes, this is true. They updated their website stating that space will be very limited for IMGs starting October 2016.

Hi guys,

I applied for August rotation. I read on many threads that they typically reply 4 to 6 weeks before the start of the elective. Since you received your answers 4th june, I guess I'll have to wait till 24/25th June at least..

Does anyone get acceptance btw ? I know these months are extremely competitive and I don't have the slightest idea of how they select IMG.
