Is it true?? I was thinking of applying there as the application fee is just 100$ and if u get accepted it's just 500$ for clerkship.. All other university's charge more than 1000$ for clerkship ...so usually no one gets accepted at umass??

tbh that's what my seniors said. I don't know for sure but what I do know is none of my seniors got into UMass, so maybe what they say is true.

Yep. None of the people from my place were accepted at UMass (about 12 applied. One applied twice but was rejected both times ). I would not bother with umass. Also UNC has much better repution than umass. If you really want to do electives in Boston, Harvard and BU have elective programs for international applicants and both are pretty good.
