I have not heard of his program. What kind of rotation is it. Also is the institution he teaches out of a clinic or a hospital? it the institution acgme accredited. These are all questions one must asks before enrolling in a program. However, I am very curious. do you have any contact information for the doctor?

Quick google search revealed low ratings of satisfaction by the doctor's very own patients. There are many money-hungry foreign physicians in the U.S. looking for quick cash by offering "observerships" to students. Please don't fall for this trap... it won't get you anywhere, look for better opportunities. Why would you pay this guy 600$ when you can look for volunteer opportunities that maybe one day a future residency program director might find interesting about you. If you really want the "experience" then go ahead, of course.

Hey, no problem! Just remember this is my own opinion and you have to do what you believe is best. No one can tell you otherwise, we all try to give advice here. I just don't like how these money-making scheme opportunities are arising for certain people to take advantage of poor IMGs like us on this forum. I would never want to contribute to something like this personally... I know it's difficult for others to get experience and sometimes people have no choice and they believe it is better than nothing.

At the end of the day, you might have some mediocre LOR that program directors won't care about and the only person benefiting from this is the physician that made big bucks off of you. Sad.. but true. I wish it wasn't like this.
