I'll recommend you to apply at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University as well. They have a 200$ application fee and 2500$ tuition fee which is refundable if you get placed somewhere else, and they reply within a week!

I have a friend Anaya. She is extremely helpful and very dear to me. Has personal contacts and connections with doctors in US. Without her I would not have gotten an idea for my usce. Her email is Anaya.rettaa@gmail.com

Hi,

I know that case western and UTSA give quick responses, and I think they accept students on a "first come first serve"basis, as long as you have usmle step1 score. 230 is not bad at all and you still have chances! Writing emails to PC is also a good choices.
I am applying to electives in US too and I totally understand how you feel. It is a painful process of waiting, negotiating, changing schedules, but do it with your optimism!!!
By the way, may I ask which mayo campus, and rotation dates are you applying for? Thanks.

hi,

Some schools give confirmation in the order of accepted applications, so it is apparently that you have more chances to get a position if you apply earlier.

Some schools, like mayo, harvard, will not process the application until after the deadline.

Personally I think it takes a lot of time to complete all the required documents, including vaccines, paper works, insurances, visa, etc.

Even though you apply late, as long as you are not missing the deadline, you still have chances, cz there will be cancellations and vacancies.
