Question Do you need TOFEL if you have studied in a English program?

Hi, im thinking about applying for a elective next year in USA, i have done only step 1 and got high score, I have studied in a English medical program in my University, is TOFEL exam necessary to apply for those electives?

Few universities require toefl if you are from a non english speaking country .. it applies even though your medium of instruction was english at your med school.. well and if you are an american citizen n fmg /img then may be you could ask for a waiver. for that u will have to contact the elective coordinator... wish you luck..
