India What is core clerkships in Indian Med Schools?

Hey guys, i was going through the application form of northwestern university electives. They ask for official transcript from med school showing grades in core clerkship.

I am from India. What is core clerkships in indian medical colleges. Are they the ward ending exams in the clinical departments?? If thats the case then in my medical college only internal medicine and surgery conducts those eams and give grades. Rest of the departments dont even care.

What do I do about it??

Default transcipt

When I had sent my app, I requested the office in my med school for the transcript . They have a format usually. I didnt mention any grades. Only a list of departments with the hours /weeks. If your college doesnt have it then you may request a format from another college(if you have a friend or someone who could help you) and then request your college to make one for you.

i have asked my med school to list all the core clerkships i have completed with the number of weeks mentioned and , evaluation on a scale of 5 , i donno who evaluated i guess the office people cheked my transcript n gave evaluations on random .. i really doubt if they sent it to every department asking for evaluation

are transcripts issued by the medical college or the university the college is affiliated to?

the clerk at my college in guwahati told me that transcripts are given ONLY AFTER one finishes their internship. as i am wanting to apply for electives it could be a problem getting it from them. is what my clerk saying true? cant i have my transcripts BEFORE graduating?

can mark-sheets be a substitute for transcripts?
