Info Information needed about USCE and Electives

dear fellows, i would like to know more on these terms: USCE, electives, internship... how are these important and how to apply, would anyone please suggest me an old post or book to read to have an insight view on these programs?

Well the best deal here would be look all over this (plus others like umartariq) website for such details. They have put all the information over the internet. Just google.

Most of the places require you to fill up their online application and mail (by courier)them while few can be done online itself.
Try to find seniors /friends who have been through it and can guide you well.
I would like to mention here that please start the application early(for electives)
