Default USCE without LOR!

please tell me if it is worthwhile doing an observership in a good place however they have specified that they wont provide a LOR, only certificate of completion!

what is better lor from a community hospital or Certificate of observership completion from a good place

i do not have more then two months to devote to USCE.

please reply

thank you

I think it's not worth it without LOR , u can get a decent LOR from a community hospital and i think it would be much better than a training in a famous hospital without LOR , it won't mean much to any program director !

There is a difference between internship rotations, elective rotations and externship rotations. However, they are the best forms of US hands-on Clinical Experience.

You may have the opportunity to complete a portion of your internship rotations and all elective rotations in the US. Mainly required to be completed in teaching hospitals.

As a medical graduate that has completed all internship and elective rotations you will have access to Physician supervised insured hands-on externships. These rotations are available in clinics, private practices, community hospitals and teaching hospitals since you are partnered with the Physician.

In the US one externship rotation is an average of 4 weeks. You want to complete a minimum of 4-6 externship rotations.

It is recommended that each externship rotation be completed in a different inpatient or outpatient facility and under the supervision of a different US Physician to help you expand your network.

You want to end up with 4 strong Clinical Evaluations and LORs from US Physicians related to the specialty you are pursuing.

Let me know if you want more information.

Best - Victor
