Question Electives for internal medicine

Hi, can anyone tell me what kind of electives should I apply for if I choose to do residency in IM in the future?
I've heard that internal medicine elctives are very difficult to get, while Pediatrics and Pathology electives are easy to get. Should I apply for Pathology electives?
Please, I need your advice!
