That would depend on the specialty and the IMG/FMG credentials. Look up each residency program in the specialties you are preparing for and review their requirements and PGY1 residents.

IMG/FMG shouldnt limit themselves to one city/state. Chances of securing interviews and residency will greatly decrease this way. Its best to focus on meeting residency selection criteria for the specialties being pursued and applying to all qualifying programs.

For American/International/Foreign medical students or graduates? What specialty(s) are you pursuing? Do you only plan to prepare and apply to this program?

If for yourself that would depend on your competitiveness and what you have done to meet this programs selection criteria?

From the information below it looks like IMGs with 1 year of US Internship/Core/Elective rotations as a medical student can apply. If you are a FMG with less than 1 year of US Internship/Core/Elective rotations you wont qualify.

Also look at their PGY1 IM residents. It appears that only 2 are IMGs out of 36. So chances for FMG are very low to none.

If you need help developing a plan for securing residency contact me for a free evaluation.

- International graduates must be ECFMG certified at the time their application is submitted, they must have at least one year of clinical experience in the U.S. or in a health care system similar to the U.S. (e.g., Australia, Ireland, and the like), and have graduated from medical school no earlier than 2007. Please note that we do not count externships, observerships, or research work as clinical experience.
