Arrow Better than nothing

Residency programs will value you more if you have US Clinical Experience. Such as a USCE would be better in the form of externship hands-on experience than just observerhip shadowing.
However, observership shadowing is also OK and better than nothing.

Observership itself is better to be in a teaching hospital than to be in a private clinic.

And the private clinic observership would better be with an attending from different ethnicity than yours. But that's not a very big issue.

So if you don't have another choice, yes go and do it. It's certainly better than nothing
