Certificate when my status change from 'student' to 'graduated'

hi there

so we study Medicine for six years then we have one more year for internship then we finish Medical School

so when my status changes from 'student' to 'graduated'

is it once i finish 6th year by means that when i finish my last exam in 6th year i become graduated or after i finish my internship

in another word

can i do elective after i finish 6th year and before starting internship?

if so and i want to take lets say 4 to 5 months elective in US and want 2month of them to be included as part of my internship that i have to take in my medical school
is that possible

so the total is 2 months elective+2month internship
as we can take the internship in anywhere not just our college

ECFMG defines graduate : when you have the diploma/transcript in your hand.
In Egypt, you will have it before internship year. So you are not allowed to take electives after graduation. You are allowed to take Externships & Observerships.

Your status would be change from student to graduate when you receive your diploma/transcript.

It is more difficult to get externships & Observership as a graduate compared to Electives as a student. In addition to that, Electives are are prefered among externship & observership as US clinical experience
