Question Brown University Clinical Elective Rotations

Hi, I'm trying to apply to brown for electives. I sent them a mail with a few details about my college and me, they never replied back. Can anyone who has done an elective there or know of anyone who been there for an elective tell me what you did?

They have a specific list of medical schools from which they accept students. So maybe your school isn't on there and hence they didn't respond back to you.

I know a senior who had been to brown couple of years ago but I can't get in touch to find out more info.
Any idea about NYU? I applied there too, No replies. I applied to loyola, yale and JHSOM so far, No replies. Please let me know any info you know about these schools.
I want psychiatry and most places don't seem to offer rotations in psychiatry.

Oh okay. Well you can give them a call and ask about this.

NYU doesn't accept at all.

Loyola, i don't know about. Yale might reply back soon. Hopkins surely doesn't give electives to students other than those from affiliated medical schools.

Why not try for Harvard?

Thanks for that. I applied for research elective at Hopkins.
I'm thinking of applying to Cornell, NIH and Harvard soon. But I have heard that Cornell and Harvard are tough to get electives in psychiatry. I don't have much hope. If I don't get any where I will just have to apply after I give my S1.

You should give your Step 1 and then apply. You will have a higher chance of acceptance then!
