Question How to find Observerships in California

Hi there,
my family will move to California this fall. I've heard that it is so competitive in Cali region and almost impossible to find a place to gain clinical experience. Is this true? Anyone on this forum has some tips or experience could be shared about where to find the observership/externship in California?

I need your advice!

Thanks a million!

I think it depends if your school is LCME accredited. I only know of two universities that accept international students. UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and UC San Diego. On their websites it states electives, however I'm not aware of their observership openings. You can use this website, I have the link posted below. It's a search engine that I've found very useful.
