Default Applying for Electives

hello everyone,
This is my first post here. Hmm.. So I am planning to apply for electives during august-december 2014 at Cornell,Yale,Harvard,Mt.Sinai, Memorial Sloan.
I have few queries here. How difficult is it to get into these places?
I have heard Harvard and Mt.Sinai are pretty easy to get into. Is this true?
Mt.Sinai has a pretty steep application fee and i dont know if its worth the gamble. I m giving my toefl next week and should be done with submitting my application by April 1st.

Any help from you people will be greatly appreciated.
My priority is Mt.Sinai-->Harvard-->Yale--->Cornell.
It would be great if i could get 3 months at Mt.Sinai and a month at Harvard.

Yale doesn't accept citizens and PR
( if you are not, then go ahead)
Harvard, apparently they do not give LORs(yea irs easy to get) and your school should be in thier "list of foriegn schools accepted"
Memorial Sloan, needs usmle 1 no exceptions
Sinai, insane app fees, good hospital. So that's really your call if you can spend that much
you could try Cornell and NIH.
Hope this helped. Good luck.

Hey what did you mean by this statement
"Yale doesn't accept citizens and PR".
It would be nice if you can clarify this more.
Thanks.

Neutrino! Yes I should have been more specific. Yale doesn't accept U.S CITIZENS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA studying foreign medical schools. ( med schools outside USA) good luck

I am a LPR but i was told by someone who rotated at Yale that he had an US citizen IMG with him.
I am not applying in Harvard. I dont want to pay them the insane amount of money.
Sinai i m interested in. I was told that they accept almost everyone who applies and if early enough then they will let you in.
I am planning cook county hospital in chicago coz that's where my family is but i havent heard anything from them yet.
I will try Cornell and NIH too!

Thank you!

They don't seem to reply to the mails. I have sent them 2-3 mails but no response yet.
