Question some questions egarding electives

so hi there

so i want to take 3 months electives in US
2 months to be calculated as my internship and one is not

so we will finish our sixth year exam in january and will start out internship in march

so i want to take Feb-Mar-Apr as elective

so that only mar and apr is going to be part of my internship

so what paper beside LOR i can get during this two month

i mean is it in i circle
do i have to tell them that i want this two month to be elective and then they will ask to bring paper from the college and when i go to college and tell them that i want to take 2 month of my internship in us they will ask me to bring paper from the hospital that accept me

i dont know from where to start

another thing is this the right thing to do ?
one more thing elective is for free but externship is not right?
also what type of visa can i get in order to go for electives and what i have to tell them of the reason of the visit so that they will give me the visa

thanks

There's an important point here:

From USMLEtoMD:
Quote:
CLERKSHIPS or ELECTIVES: In most cases, the terms 'Clerkships' or 'Electives' are clinical rotations granted by US Medical schools to medical students. Note that I said students and Not graduates. This implies that you need to be still enrolled in the 4th year of your home-country medical school while applying and will be doing part (one to three months) of those 4th year rotations in the US. Such rotations, besides being accepted by the US Medical school, also needs a "NOC" - No Objection Certificate, from the Dean of your own medical school or University.
I think in Cairo university, when you're in internship you're no longer a student, but a graduate.

So I think this leaves you with either observership or externship.

I see.

Then, it's simple. Search for programs offering electives, apply for them, and then take the application to your dean to sign it so that you become exempted from the first 2 months of internship.
