Question Questions regarding LOR and SLOR

Hi ,,

I just wanted to say i already searched and read a lot for a specific answer to my question but couldn't find it

I am an IMG from Egypt , and will graduate March 2016 ,, and plan to do the Step 1 ,2 CK & CS AFTER i graduate so that i can apply to the Match of 2018 ( which opens Sept. 2017) .. This is because of my nature as an IMG , it will be hard to take the Steps before i graduate

However since i can only take an elective before graduating , the only chance to do so is now .. I am planning to go for EM with IM as a backup

I am really confused when it comes to LOR and SLOR .. First i will take my electives during the period from February 2015 - March 2016 (date of my graduation)

By then , i will still not have opened a myERAS application , so how can i upload my letters of recommendations without opening a myERAS account? - especially that i want to waive the right to read all my letters , and also the fact that EM LOR will be SLORs not regular LOR

2nd Question : If i open a myERAS account to upload the LOR , won't that mean that i applied to the match that year even though i didn't technically apply for any programs?

3rd Question : When i actually apply to the match , the uploaded LOR will have been too old ( around 2 years) , this is something that i have no solution for .. I read around that i can ask the Program director to write the LOR/SLOR and then rewrite again before match with the new date .. Does this mean that it will be uploaded twice with two different dates or do i just ask them to keep the old LOR with them till i apply to the match so that they can re-write it? and doesn't that carry the risk of the Program director losing the LOR for any reason ( especially that i am waiving my right to read it)?

Sorry for the long thread , but i am really really confused
