New York NY lisence and out of NY greenbook rotations

I go to a Caribbean med school that is NOT NY approved so I must do my rotations in diff states.
In order to be licensed in New York, do they require all of their rotations to be greenbook?

Arrow Here's the deal

The issue is not whether you do your rotation in NY or any other state, the issue is if you do your rotation outside the Caribbean country where you will be graduated from, for further details read here

and yes, your rotation must be greenbook to get NY license.

Thank you Sabio...but the outside of country rule only applies to obtaining residency in NY right? I was just asking about getting licensed in New York. It doesn't matter to me where I get this residency. Thank you for your informative post! Also, for my school - if I want to do all green book rotations, its a long wait period in b/w rotations..is this frowned upon by residency interviewers?

As far as I know, it's the same whether getting residency or NY license, in fact the rule is set by the State of New York and not by residency programs which means it applies to the license and the residency as well. However, you need to verify this, because am not sure about it.

As for your other question; (waiting for greenbook) rotation. I think it worths the wait even if that means "frowning" by interviewers, you can always explain tot them.
