If you did not match this year, I would like to tell you that we have an opening for a volunteer researcher in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Georgetown University Medical Center. This one-year program will give the participant an experience in bench research in projects aimed to find a cure of Type 1 diabetes mellitus. This is not human clinical research.
We have had several volunteers who have worked in this program, and by obtaining this experience and improving their CV, have later been able to match with a residency program. We are not able to help with visas and ask that the participant be ready to start the Program by May 2011. If you are interested in the program or would like more information about this program, please send your CV and test scores to sobeldo@georgetown.edu or call me (Douglas Sobel MD) at 202 444-3021. Sincerely, Douglas Sobel, MD Professor of Pediatrics Georgetown University |
