Canada Canadian Observership and LORs

Hi all,

I just wanted to find out how much weight program director give to observerships and LORs from Canada in comparison to that from the US in terms of matching IMGs.

I have to take Canadian licensing exam to be able to do an elective here so an observership is the only option I have.

What do you guys think?

Thumbs Up It's the next big thing

Canadian experience is the next big thing after USCE.

If there's something that US PDs considered outside USA, then it's the Canadian experience.

So you should be fine, specially if you have good USMLE Scores.

Though, I have to say if you can do it in US and then it's certainly better.
