Help Is Malpractice Insurance for Observership must?

Hello everyone,
I've completed Step 1 and will b appearing Step 2CK soon!
I've been pretty worried about Observership, so I went on searching online...
then I found out about "Malpractice Insurance".
I've been bothered by the fact that, many observership programs have mentioned it.
Can anyone have any idea about this?

I have the same question. Anyone with better experience?
From my understanding, some places need this, including private clinics.

Also, what about vaccination status? Do we need to show documentation for obsererships?

Anyone with experience on this, help!

Default Malpractice Insurance

Hi!

For medical school cores and electives, your medical school should provide this for you.

For IMGs, you will need to purchase it. This is often a great challenge because there are so few companies that offer it on an individual level and it is quite pricey.

Luckily, we at Chicago Clerkships include it with your rotation package. You don't have to worry because our general policy covers you.

You can contact us through our website at chicagoclerkships.com.

Sincerely,

Lori Ramos
