Help Tuberculin (PPD) TB Skin Test Positive; Applying for electives

Hello everyone,
I am an Indian student applying for clinical electives. I got my tuberculin test and as expected my report came positive, with an induration of 12 mm at 48 hrs and 7-8 mm at 72 hrs, with a negative report at 72 hrs. Do I need to get a chest X ray done? Will this result be problematic?

Default yes you need chest X ray

Yes, you need to do chest X ray.

If the chest X ray is suspicious of active TB infection, you need to do further testing (such as sputum AFB and culture).

If the chest X ray is negative. Then they will either say that's it or they'll ask you to take INH for 9 months (treatment of latent TB).

No you dnt need to get an xray , PPD is only reported and measured at 72hours .
so as you said that after 72hrs reported induration was 7-8mm thats a negative test . No need to do anything ..
