Default 10 years after graduating--Taking 2CS and 3

I took a long break (10 years) from medicine, and never took step 3. I now want to enter the match in 2016, and have been told that if I can pass step 3, my application would be competitive enough to get some interviews. Which means I need to take 2CS as well. I would be happy to share some of the things that I have learned in the process of getting to this point (starting to study for the exams), and am just wondering if there are other grads in this position.

Am much older than you, graduated 17 years back, did pediatrics PG, finished step 1 and CK, but failed cs & retaking in November. Also have applied to numerous pediatric residency programs. How sad is my story?

UKNS.. Don't feel left out as well.. Many students are in your position. Keep trying for match. Do you have good clinical experience in us since so many years of graduation ? Did you try for research also? Best of luck friend
