Default Write Like You Talk

Below is a link to an interesting article that advocates writing like you talk to a friend or colleague. This is a much more effective method of communication and increases your chances of keeping the reader's attention. With personal statements a surefire way to test this is to read your statement out loud. If you find the flow is off or you yourself are getting distracted, how do you think the reader will feel? Best of luck to all applying and please do not hesitate to reach out for a review of your personal statement.

Thanks,
Ben
