Arrow IPhone 4 Vs. Droid X

lol i thought tht i have a little fun with this.

As of right now, i have about a week and a half till my first clinical rotations.

But I cant seem to decide what phone 2 pick! Iphone 4 or Droid X!

i know most medical students typically use iphone, but apple is just sooo damm anal with making you buy everything pretty much

now on the other side of the ring, theres droid x. Pretty much lets you do everything you want, but i have heard that it has wierd glitches, not as great apps, and as of yesterday. The Android police caught 50 apps on there marketplace that actually has malware on em! Basically a Virus... for your smartphones!

There both great phones! But was wondering what your personal preferance is because now a days, a cell phone is a pretty serious investment.

Default iPhone 4

I am sure Droid X is a more powerful phone but I believe what your really need is the apps each smartphone has to offer and for medical students iPhone is the only way to go (unfortunately).

I bought a droid x and i got all the same apps the iphone 4 users have.

The droid x maybe even better because of all the google technologies. I remember during rounds i use to go on my phone very quickly and look up on the web something i knew the attendant was going to ask and would find the answer exceptionally quick and beat out everyone else whom tried to find info faster.

Im a fan of the droids at least lol. I think if you jail break your iphone tho, there are alot of advantages to the iphone then. But without jail breaking. Clearly in my opinion droid wins.

I so agree.. I got a Samsung note.. Even reading and watching lectures is fun..No format issues..Nothing against iPhone..But that small screen is too small for me. No need to root the phone for the free apps as opposed to the iPhone..I felt being controlled while using an iPhone

I had an android phone till a month ago and comparatively the medical apps were much much less but I have to admit ,though, that most of those apps needed during hospital rounds can be found both in iOs and Android. However, if I was going for a "medical" phone that would be the iPhone, and if I was going for a truly powerful phone I would go for droid X.

Right I agree to that too.. Android is like windows comes more into use with time when you learn some tweaks... The tweaks help to study too.. But number of medical apps presently are definitely more in ios.. So overall its a personal choice.. If you like readymade stuff (paid unless rooted) then iPhone is the way to go. If you like playing techy then Android can surprise you.. IPhone is awesome when rooted.. For me screen matters more so I go with a large screen Android..

Motorola Droid 4 or Samsung Galaxy Relay - both solid touchscreens, cameras and most importantly the last of the 4" screen qwerty keyboard cell phones.

After being a longtime blackberry user, I switched to IPhone 4. Became a proficient touchscreen typist. Then I bought a bluetooth keyboard case and improved my speed and efficiency by at least 50% on numerous little tasks.

After my experiences, it defeats me why we the demand isn't there for qwerty smart phones - best of both worlds in being able to touch and type.

I'm using Samsung Galaxy Relay now and sticking with it - i think it's best in class. Great screen, great WiFi, great 3G, great keyboard, camera quality is good - compared to iphone 4s the difference in quality is negligible - it has more processing power too than an IPhone 4s.
