Default JVP abnormalities

Absent a wave: AF
Large a wave: any cause of Rt ventricular hypertrophy, tricuspid stenosis
Cannon wave: (= extra large a wave) complete heart block

Prominent v wave: tricuspid regurgitation

Slow y descent: tricuspid stenosis, Rt atrial myxoma
Steepy y descent: Rt ventricular failure, constrictive pericarditis, tricuspid regurgitation
