Download PDF USMLE Files for FREE!
by StepTaker 09-01-2012, 02:22 PM

Many of our members will try their best to find free downloads of PDF or other formats of copyrighted USMLE Books and Resources.

In this article, I will try to pinpoint the hazards and wrongdoings associated with this act.

First of all, you should remember that downloading or copying or accessing or sharing any copyrighted resource in the Internet without permission from the publisher is simply an act of stealing! Yes. You are a thief when you do that.

How would you feel when you put lots of efforts onto a product and then you see it get stolen from you?

Further more, the act of illegal downloading of materials is criminalized in USA and most other developed countries. And if you are visiting this website (USMLE Forums) you most probably be looking for a future doctor career in USA and having criminal history will seriously jeopardize your future in USA.

Perhaps, you get the impression that since this is a USMLE Forum then it must be about sharing resources for FREE. But, that's not the case in our website. Unlike other popular USMLE online communities, we take copyright infringement seriously and we do not advocate or endorse or encourage sharing copyrighted materials.

Have a look at the list of blocked threads where we have removed posts that share materials or text illegally. We also scrutinize the PDF Attachments shared by our members, whenever we think it's copyrighted materials we immediately remove it. We also respond to reported posts by copyright holders on the spot and we ban the infringing members accordingly, take a look at our Copyright Policy to learn more.

Some members might argue that these resources are expensive and we cannot afford them. Then how come you will be able to afford the USMLE journey! The USMLE exams fees, med school tuition, travel to USA, travel to residency interviews, qbanks, live courses, NBME/ECFMG fees, NRMP fees, licensing fees ...etc if you are able to pay for all of that (Thousands of $$$) then you must as well be able to spend few hundreds more to pay for your books and resources.

So dear members, please think twice before illegally sharing copyrighted materials, it's for your own sake and we are positive that you will refrain once you understand the consequences.

If you are looking for legitimate resources, we then recommend checking our Best USMLE Books Page where you can find links to legitimate websites (such as Amazon) to buy and download great USMLE resources and books.

Oh, that is great that such materials I can use for free. Thank you so much!
One question, can I send it to my friends or they have to download it for themselves from this forum?
