Default ECFMG certification

Hello,

It is not necessary for you to have passed your Steps 1-3, but you need to apply and be accepted to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). This will help us confirm your identity, contact information, and graduation from or enrollment in a medical school that is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER).

You will just need to forward us a copy of your acceptance letter after you are accepted to the program.

Please visit our website for more information. You can also email me directly through the Contact Us page on the website.

What elective are available? How much is the cost? I think these would be important factors for anyone considering this service. Any info would be great!

This setup is nice but you will have to settle for a private practice rotation as opposed to a teaching hospital.

Default Externship in Pediatrics, Chicago

Chicago Clerkships is pleased to announce that we have as just opened up a new externship placement near downtown Chicago. It's a father/daughter team of pediatricians whose office is located in a hospital complex. Placement is available immediately. We have also secured an internal medicine/cardiology placement in the western suburbs, also a private practice in a major hospital complex. This placement will be available mid-September. More to come, so visit us at our website at www.chicagoclerkships.com for more information.

Question Clinical- electives

Hello

I am looking for clinical-electives to do after my fourth year during summer time 2012. Do you provide clinical-electives or only externships ?
Taking into consideration that I will finish my fourth year (5 year program) during 1-june 2012.

I am looking for a high reputation teaching hospital (Internal medicine), that is also enrolled in ERAS.
Your guidance is highly appreciated !

Default Clinical Electives

Hello,
Currently we do not provide clinical electives for medical students. You will need to apply to a teaching hospital. Here is a link that that has a list of these programs: http://www.usmletomd.com/tips4match/...electives.html.

Default about teaching hospitals

Dear Hypermedic,

Chicago Clerkships currently has three excellent internal medicine rotations available in early September. Two are IM/cardiology combined, and although they are not within a teaching hospital environment, both of these include regular hospital rounds at two local hospitals with the supervising physicians. I also have a straight internal medicine rotation, but I am not sure how much hospital time is involved.

Thanks! If you are interested you can always write to me directly at loriramos at chicagoclerkships dot com.

Default Chicago Clerkships Additional Services

Hello everyone,

Chicago Clerkships includes cv and personal statement review with every placement. CVs are reviewed for internal consistency, format, grammar and spelling. Personal statements are reviewed for structure, content, style, coherency, grammar, spelling and syntax. This service is 100% complementary for all our IMGs.

For an additional fee, we will arrange a one-hour individual phone session with a member of our academic team (MDs at some of the most prestigious universities in the U.S. who have vast experience in mentoring IMGs toward the residency match, and who have participated in selection committees as well). After reviewing, critiquing and receiving your updated CV and personal statement, we send them along with your test scores to one of our consultants. We arrange a telephone conference, take notes, and send you a summary at the end of the call with an action plan and suggestions for improving your odds.

Please check out our website for more information www.chicagoclerkships.com.
