Why did u put exam master is the first qbank choice?
Is it because you think it's the best or are u affiliated!

@aandt: Thanks for your interest! We're currently working on a Step 2 CK version of Cram Fighter. We'll also be supporting more exams in the future.

@Firas: We have no affiliation with Exam Master or any of the other question bank resources. Exam Master just happens to be on the top because the list is in alphabetical order. Hope that clears everything up!

Question Can we specify the speed?

Can we specify our speed
Like for example how many pages or questions are we finishing per day so that the program calculates the schedule for us accordingly?

You specify when you will start studying, your Step 1 exam date, and how many hours a day you want to study each day. The app will then figure out how many pages you need to read each day to finish the material before the exam. It even automatically schedules periodic catch-up days to give you a little breathing room. The screenshot below shows how you can input your available hours into the app. Let me know if you have any other questions!

@sohni: Yes it is possible to use Cram Fighter at any time during your studying. Just enter the books you haven't yet finished and the app will automatically create a schedule using those books. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi, Cram Fighter currently supports the iPhone and iPod Touch. We are, however, working on a web version that will accessible from your PC, Mac, or internet-enabled phone. We expect the web version to be ready in the second half of the year. You can check our website or contact us for more details.

Hi student doctors,

We just released a brand new version of Cram Fighter: USMLE Step 1 Edition! This update includes support for 31 new books, including updated editions of the Rapid Review and Deja Review series. We also made our scheduling much smarter, so that when you add a new book or take an extra day off, the order of tasks in your study schedule will still be preserved.

Please see our site for more information or buy it directly from the App Store for just $4.99!

Default Next update?

When is the next update coming out ? And what are the new features, if any, added to the update?

Here are some suggestions:

-Ability to move multiple items in the schedule
-Ability to turn on/off the automatic re-balancing of schedule when a setting is changed
-Ability to add in 'catch up days' or 'take off days' without having to go into settings (which changes the whole schedule)
-Ability to change color themes (just for fun)

Please look into these suggestions as I have been waiting for these changes in an update for a long time! Also, i think these updates will make this great app more useful and the UI will be better!

Thank you

We are aiming to get the next update out in a few weeks. The main feature of the next update will be improved question bank support. We may include some other minor features, but we haven't finalized them yet.

We have a feature planned that will allow you to collapse or expand consecutive chapters, which should make them easier to check off and move around.

This is a tricky one, but we'll keep it in mind. It's not difficult to do for some settings, but other ones (such as changing the subject order) will take a lot more time. In our last major update, however, we did improve our re-balancing so that your tasks at least retain their order which is a lot better than the previous behavior.

That's a great idea! We'll try to come up with a good UI to support this feature.

We may add something like this, but in general we prefer to keep the number of options at a minimum so things don't get too complicated.

We can't guarantee that these features will be out in the near future, since we have a couple of major things in the pipeline (improved question bank support, app for a new exam, web version, etc.), but we'll add all of these items to our to do list. You can track our progress on updates via our website. Thanks for all of your suggestions! Let us know if you have any more.

We're actively working on it, but it still a few months out. For now we are concentrating on getting the iPhone version as polished as we can. Thanks for your patience!

I can't believe I did not notice this thread already, seems like an interesting app ..

Do you think Course-wise studying would benefit from this? Subject-wise needs more organization because you are jumping all over the place.. Course wise you can just say for example I have a Book that is 400 pages, if I want to complete it in 20 days I do 20 pages a day am I not correct

Hi, we actually give you the option to sort your schedule by book, so that you can go through each chapter in each book in order. Some people prefer this over a system/subject-based sorting. Let us know if you have any questions.

I just bought Cram Fighter from iTunes. It's a pretty cool app, but I was disappointed to see that it doesn't open up on my MacBook Pro. It would be nice to have a larger version of the calendar viewable on the computer. Still a very helpful app though. If they decide to update it with that function, I think Mac owners would love it.

Hi DocWhitC,

Thanks for checking out Cram Fighter! At this time, it's not possible to have a single app that runs both on iOS and OS X. We are, however, working on a web version that will work on any PC, Mac, or smartphone. We hope to have it ready in a few weeks. Hope that helps!

We haven't had many updates in terms of features recently, since we've been focused on getting the web version ready. We have been updating content though, and we just released an update a few days ago with two new editions of Kaplan Lecture Notes.

Hi,

We are still working on adding multiple rounds of review for our iPhone apps. What we generally suggest is to create a schedule for each round, and then reset the schedule at the end of each round.

Also, you can try out our web app which allows you to go over books more than once. If you PM me, I can give you a free month of the web app. You can also try it for free at cramfighter.com and see if it works for you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi! We don't have an Android app right now, but you should be able to use our web version from an Android phone. We're still improving our support for mobile devices, but try it out and let us know if you run into any problems.

You can try it free for a week without signing up!

The iPhone version is a one-time cost of $9.99, but it doesn't quite have as many features as the web version. We're working on a new website that will show you the differences between the two versions, but basically the web version has study blocks (lets you go through a book more than once and schedule variable study hours), better question bank support (tells you how many questions to do each day), more accurate scheduling, and flashcard support. The advantage of the iPhone version is that it doesn't require an internet connection.

The web version of Cram Fighter should work on Windows 7 phones. You can check out the 7-day free trial at cramfighter.com and see how it works for you.

How do I modify my user name on cram fighter? During the sign up, I hadn't finished typing my name & then mistakenly pressed the enter button. There's no way to edit user name???

Is there anyway to add videos such as USMLERx or Kaplan?

Simultaneous books is currently only supported in the web version. We are aiming to merge the two products in the future and we'll post on our website when we have more information.
