Upcoming Changes to USMLE

The USMLE is changing and they have announced it in the official website.

Basically the most important changes are:
Increased focus on quality improvement principles; safety science; epidemiology, biostatistics, and population health; professionalism; and interpersonal and communications skills.

Does changes to step 3 means old books for step 3 will not be useful? And study material will need to change?

Yes Kaplan announced a new edition of Fischer's MTB coming soon. I assume FA and Crush are working in new editions too

During my step 2 I had lots of questions about biostats, basic principles and ethics.
