Drug A List Of Partial Agonists In Pharmacology!

Important Partial Agonists in Pharmacology=

1) Aripriprazole(D2)

2) 3-O-Methyl dopa (dopamine receptor)

3) Acebutalol (beta1)

4) Pindolol (beta1&2)

5) Tamoxifen (Estrogen/SERM)

6) Clomiphene (estrogen)

7) Buspirone (5HT1a)

8) Ergotamine (alpha & 5HT2)

9) Tegaserod (5HT4)

10) Vernicline (Nicotene)

Default List of Partial Agonists

Here is a short list of some of the important Partial agonists we have to know. Please add to this list if you can think of any others.

1. Buspirone (5HT-1A receptors; used for anxiety)
2. Buprenorphine (mu receptors; used for opioid addiction)
3. Clomiphene (estrogen receptors in hypothalmus; used for infertility to induce ovulation and in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
4. Aripiprazole (D2 receptors; atypical antipsychotic used for schizo and Bipolar disorder)
5. Butorphenol (mu receptor; used for pain, often migraines) --> This drug is probably low-yield, but saw it as an answer choice in a question
