List List of Drugs having Active Metabolites!

Below is the list of important drugs that have active metabolites;


1) Acetohexamide (can cause renal dysfunction)

2) Atracurium = Laudanosine(can cause seizures)

3) Acetaminophen = N-acetyl benzoquinonamine (hepatic necrosis & failure)

4) Ethanol = Acetaldehyde (folate inactivation & thimine ,disulfiram like reaction)

5) Morphine = Morphine 6 glucoronide(renal toxic)

6) Meperidine = Nor meperidine(Serotonin synd)

7) Glyburide (renal dysfunction)

8) Imepinem (nephrotoxic metabolite)

9) Sulfonamide (crystalluria)

Diezepam=Nor Diazepam having sedative hypnotic properties.
