Microscope Psuedorosettes

Psuedorossettes is the lining up of pink purple tumor cells around blood vessels
There are seen in many tumors but most importantly for the USMLE think of neuroendocrine tumors namely
  • neuroblastoma
  • medulloblastoma
  • retinoblastoma
  • epindymoma

I think you should include all the group of tumors called small round blue cell tumors which are (in addition to your list)
  • Ewing sarcoma
  • Small cell carcinoma of the lung
  • Lymphoma
  • Wilm's tumor

They are all characterized by small anaplastic cells with very large pleomorphic nuclei and they all cause psuedorosette formation when cells palisade around vessels and other structures
