Default uworld and nbme

hey guys i was wondering if I can get some advice from those that have already taken their exams. I finished UWorld today, all of them were done in random 46Q blocks timed. My last 10 sets I've been scoring 73-89% with an average around mid 70s. But on my recent NBME exam (3 days ago), I scored a 224 with 7 days to d-day. I panicked and I moved my test date to 1 month later. My goal is to get at least a 236.

But now im debating whether I should move it forward and take it on June 14th. I'm thinking about taking another NBME exam tomorrow to assess myself. is it true that NBME 7,11,12 are one of the harder ones? Are they most representative of the real thing?

based on my current situation, should I wait until my nbme scores are safely above or consistently around my target score?
or do I take the bite and just take it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!

Correct Answer Use the latest NBME to estimate your score in the exam

I took one NBME. It was NBME 7 and it was very accurate for me. The difference was just one point up in the score report. When I took it, it was the latest NBME out there, and rationally, I'd say the latest NBME is the one most comparable to the current format and content of the exam; if not, why would NBME release new ones? So, use the latest NBME to estimate your score in the exam, but leave it to the very last of your prep.

thanks for your response haisook. Can you recommend me a good way to review the NBME exams? I'm not sure where to start since the key is not released. Thanks!

I dont think you should of postponed it 1 month to see a bump of 8 points, now you should aim for 240+ .

Good luck!
