Osteopenia: Loss in bone density, precursor to Osteoporosis in women.

Osteoporosis: Most commonly occurs in Post menopausal women, where there is a loss of bone density.

Osteomalacia: Adult form of Vitamin D deficiency = soft bones (no calcium)

Rickets: Child form of Vitamin D Deficiency = soft bones (no calcium)

All lead to brittle bones that will fracture easily.

Treatment is either biphoshanates and calcium or Vitamin D.
