Osteopenia: Loss in bone density, precursor to Osteoporosis in women.
Osteoporosis: Most commonly occurs in Post menopausal women, where there is a loss of bone density.
Osteomalacia: Adult form of Vitamin D deficiency = soft bones (no calcium)
Rickets: Child form of Vitamin D Deficiency = soft bones (no calcium)
All lead to brittle bones that will fracture easily.
Treatment is either biphoshanates and calcium or Vitamin D.
