Peau d'Orange in breast cancer - multiple causes?

Is the "peau d'orange" appearance of the breast in breast cancer classically associated with one specific process? I have seen that term used in reference to both the invasion of Cooper's ligaments and the lymphatic obstruction of inflammatory breast cancer. Does anyone know if the term is officially implied with specificity for one of those processes, or is it more of a nonspecific finding in breast cancer?

Thanks as always,
Tig

disruption of coopers ligament cause tethering not specifically related to any breast cancer can occur in all

peau d'orange refers to inflammatory breast cancer(disruption of lymphatics)

it looks like an orange skin (i.e the fruit) --->> skin tethering + inflammatory occur together

therefore

you can have tethering without inflammatory breast cancer
but you cant have peau d'orange without tethering:eek::scared::sleepy:
